If the file is corrupted try another mirror from moddb, sometimes they have trouble.

No, choose a separate Folder, the installation is independent. There also is a bug if you install in program files folder under vista / 7. Then you have to change the folder permissions to allow users full access or start New Universe with administrative rights.

Why could things not just be left the way they where one simple file download and add to FLMM it was so much easyer now every thing is getting complecated i havent a clue how to do this installation thing and its doing my head in i really want to play here again but the installation method is crazy could some one please help me with a detailed writ up in english so i may use this server oncew again thanks sprite
